Maggie 2000 - 2008
The excitement of it being Friday has quickly been replaced by sadness and anger. Colby called me after he returned home from football practice, obviously upset. After getting him to calm down, he delivered some very unexpected and sad news. Maggie, our oldest basset hound, has passed away. Truly unexpected. Maggie has been an integral part of our family for 8 years and has brought much joy to all of us. Many of our most memorable moments cooking out on the deck or working outside in the yard include Maggie. She has been the source of entertainment on countless occasions. She had her own personality and was always welcoming to the other dogs as they became part of our family. She was truly more than just a pet and she will be sadly missed.

Awww… do you know what happened?
No, but she was laying right out in the middle of the pen, looking just like she does when she’s asleep. Like she just fell asleep and didn’t wake up.

This is very sad news. Maggie was one “person” who could always make me laugh.
