So far, on my low carb diet, I’ve lost a total of 30.1 lbs. Still not eating anymore that 20 net carbs per day, cut way back on diet soda both at home and at work. Drinking much more water and eating more greens and other healthy carbs. I hope to start a more intense workout regiment soon, just have to be able to work into my crazy schedule of “things to do”. I want to be at my goal weight of 210 lbs. to 220 lbs. by spring. At this rate, it should be no problem. I don’t have a “sweet tooth”, so cutting out sugars has been very easy, but I do treat myself to a low carb, sugar free protein bar from time to time. If you get the right ones, they taste no different than a candy bar. However, some of them taste horrible, you just have to try them until you find one that you like.
As of this morning, I’ve lost a total of 22 pounds on my low carb diet. I’ve also gone down 1 pant size. Todays eatings:
1 Kosher Dill Pickle
1 Adkins Advantage Chocolate Peanut Bar
1 Serving of Buddig Smoked Ham
1 Cheese Hot Dog
1 Fried Hamburger
Few ounces of Hot Pepper Cheese
Total Fat: 47g
Total Carbs: 6
Will probably have some greens later this evening.
So, before anybody says anything, I’ve done my homework on low carb dieting. I know that evening having 20g of carbs a day is very low. My first 2 weeks, I’ll keep it under 10g a day, then the following 2 weeks I’ll keep it under 20g a day, eventually settling at around 50g a day.
At the end of day 7 of my low carb diet, total weight loss is 14 pounds. Still keeping 10grams of carbs a day or less. Prepping to start exercising more, hit the treadmill, do more walking around the neighborhood while helping the dogs get their exercise as well. A couple of you have asked what I’m eating during a typical work day, well, here you go, this is what I’ve had today.
1. Morning, Atkins Advantage protein bar.
2. Lunch snack, Wisconsin Smoker beef stick and cheese stick.
3. Snack, Hormel pepperoni stick.
4. Dinner, 6 medium meatballs rolled in parmesan cheese.
Total net carb: 8g
Total fat: 98g
Started using this app a few days ago when I started a low carb diet. If you’re unsure about what you should or shouldn’t eat, this app will help you out. Keeps track of your intake of carbs, fat, calories, water, etc. Huge database that includes most brand name items as well as restaurant food information. You can also customize and add your own items. It maintains a food log, exercise log and much more. Very handy to have! Not bad for $2.99. Check out the info below.
Day five of low carb diet and I’ve lost 9 pounds as of last night. Haven’t weighed myself today, so hopefully it’s even more. Keeping it under 10 grams of carbs per day for at least the first 2 weeks. Just finished a great meal of cat fish and brussel sprouts. Also cutting back on the diet pepsi. I’ve only had two 16 oz bottles all week at work. Instead, I’ve been drinking flavored water.
