Adjusting The Carb On Your Vintage VW

This is just a quick follow up to my previous video, installing an aftermarket carb. I installed it right out of the box, making no adjustments. Since then, I’ve driven it about 50 miles and ended up having to make a few adjustments. I had to adjust the choke just a bit, the air fuel mixture and the idle speed just a bit. Since then, it’s running perfectly. Now we’ll see how it holds up over time. After doing that, I decided to make this quick video explaining the adjustments that most people are going to be faced with. The 3 main adjustments are the choke, idle speed and fuel/air mixture. In this video, you’ll see how I do it without going into great detail. There are many, many videos floating around detailing how people adjust their carbs. Some make it a bit complicated and it really isn’t. You just need to listen to your engine while it’s running. If you have any questions about this process after watching the video, just leave them in the comments and I’ll respond a.s.a.p. If you find the video useful, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to our channel, we’d certainly appreciate it.
